Homeschool Classes for Grades K-12
in an academically rich Christian environment.

About Us

Hudson Valley Consortium (HVC) is a Christian homeschool community serving students in Kindergarten through 12th grade in New York's Capital Region. We provide academic classes, enrichment opportunities, and a vibrant community that supports families throughout their homeschool journey.

Our primary program, the Consortium, serves students in grades 5–12 through a university-style model that combines classroom instruction with at-home learning. Students attend classes twice each week and choose from a wide range of courses, including mathematics, science with laboratory experiences, history, literature, writing, foreign language, technology, fine arts, and practical electives. Our goal is to provide rigorous academics while helping students develop critical thinking skills, strong character, and meaningful friendships.

In addition to academics, HVC offers a rich community experience through student activities, clubs, social events, leadership opportunities, and service projects. We believe that education extends beyond the classroom and that students thrive when they are part of a supportive community of families who share similar values and educational goals.

For families with younger children, HVC also offers a separate Cooperative program for students in Kindergarten through 4th grade. Additional information about the Cooperative can be found on its dedicated program page.

Classes meet on Tuesdays and Thursdays, allowing many families to participate in both the Cooperative and Consortium programs simultaneously.

We welcome families who are looking for a strong academic program, meaningful community, and a Christ-centered environment to support their homeschool efforts. If you would like to learn more about Hudson Valley Consortium, we encourage you to contact us with any questions. Our admissions process for new families typically begins in February and March, with registration taking place in the spring.

  Testimonials

"Hudson Valley Consortium was an essential foundation in my life spanning from middle school to my graduation that allowed me to begin a successful career in the emergency services. Working for agencies ranging from local municipalities, to state-level departments, I credit my ability to be a part of something larger to not only the education I received at HVC, but the experience as a whole."

"I've been homeschooling for these past 17 years and all 4 of my kids have attended HVC at various times.  This program has not only provided them with great classes an a solid education, but has also given them a great way to meet new people and participate in really great events and programs.  Whether it's Mock Trial, dances or field trips, these events have given my kids great, unique things to remember.  The teachers and volunteers at HVC have been a great support and have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to helping navigate the homeschool world. I highly recommend this program!"
