Cooperative Classes (Grades K-4th)

About Our Cooperative
The Hudson Valley Consortium Cooperative is a parent-led Christian homeschool cooperative serving Kindergarten through 4th grade students. As the elementary program of Hudson Valley Consortium, our Cooperative provides a strong academic and enrichment experience while introducing families to a vibrant Christian homeschool community that can support them throughout their homeschooling journey.
Our Cooperative meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. during the school year. Many of our Cooperative families also have older students enrolled in Hudson Valley Consortium's drop-off academic program for grades 5–12, allowing the entire family to participate together. We believe one of HVC's greatest strengths is being one unified homeschool community, where friendships, mentorships, and relationships grow across all ages—from Kindergarten through high school graduation.
Unlike our grades 5–12 Consortium program, the Cooperative is not a drop-off program. Parents are the heart of our Cooperative and are expected to actively participate by teaching classes, assisting in classrooms, and helping with the many responsibilities that make our program successful. By serving together, families not only enrich the educational experience for their children but also build meaningful friendships and a supportive homeschooling community.

Academic & Enrichment Classes
Our classes are designed to complement the education taking place at home. Each year, our schedule reflects both the needs of our families and the talents of our volunteer teachers, offering a well-rounded selection of academic and enrichment opportunities. Our focus is mostly on academics to help families to fulfill requirements.
Typical class offerings include:
-
Language Arts
-
Science
-
STEM
-
Art
-
Music
-
Foreign Language
-
Math Games
-
A variety of enrichment classes
Most classes emphasize hands-on learning, creativity, and collaboration, with little or no homework, allowing parents to remain the primary educators while students enjoy learning alongside their peers.
Nursery
To support our teaching parents, we offer a nursery exclusively for younger siblings of children enrolled in the Cooperative. This service enables parents to fulfill their teaching and volunteer responsibilities while knowing their youngest children are being cared for in a safe and loving environment.
Community Life
Hudson Valley Consortium is more than a place to take classes—it's a community. We encourage every Cooperative family to participate in our family events, field trips, celebrations, and other activities throughout the year. These experiences strengthen friendships among students and parents alike and help create the close-knit community that makes HVC unique.
As students grow, many families continue their journey by enrolling in Hudson Valley Consortium's grades 5–12 academic program, allowing children to remain in a familiar Christian community throughout their homeschool years.

Our Christian Mission
Hudson Valley Consortium is unapologetically Christian. We welcome homeschooling families from a variety of church backgrounds who affirm the historic doctrine of the Trinity and are faithfully involved in a Bible-believing church.
Our faith shapes every aspect of our community—from our classrooms and curriculum to our relationships with one another. We seek to partner with parents in raising children who grow academically, socially, and spiritually, while encouraging one another in the shared mission of Christian home education.
Our Facility
Our spacious facility provides an outstanding environment for learning and fellowship. With classrooms, large gathering spaces, a stage, kitchen, nursery space, and outdoor play areas, we are able to offer a wide variety of educational opportunities, creative activities, and community events throughout the school year.
